We Want You!

The Constellation Awards team is always looking for new team members to help us plan and run our event. Whether you are an experienced event-runner or brand new to event planning/running, we have several positions where we could use YOUR enthusiasm and hard work. Note that team members can take on multiple roles, if more than one of these positions are of interest. Team members will be expected to attend our committee meetings (currently held one Saturday afternoon per month in Toronto) whenever possible.

Some of the key positions we're currently trying to fill are:

Sponsorship Team Members
Like most not-for-profit events, our awards can only be a success if we have solid support from sponsors. Help solicit and sign up the sponsors we need to make our event happen!

Marketing Team Members
Help take on some of the legwork to help market and promote our event, including helping to coordinate advertising swaps, promo tables, etc., as well as distributing materials (flyers etc.) to stores, clubs, and events.

Social Media Team Members
Working hand in hand with our marketing team, help use facebook and twitter to create the BUZZ that will get Canada's sci-fi film and TV fans excited about our awards!

Media Relations Team Members
Both before and during our event, help get media interested in our event via press releases, press kits, and direct discussions with members of the media.

Registration Team Members
Both before and during the event, help coordinate the registrations of those who come to attend our ceremonies.

Web Site Design/Maintenance Team Members
Are you a web site designer with the skills to make our web site more exciting and keep it up to date all year? Help us take our web site to the next level!

All applicants must understand that not everyone is suitable for all positions. While experience is not necessarily required, people who cannot demonstrate the required skills may not be considered for some of the roles. Because the Awards Team is small, anybody taking on a pre-ceremonies role may also be asked to help out during the actual awards ceremonies. We look forward to hearing from you!
